RACHEL WILLIAMS

Welcome to the online portfolio of Rachel Williams -

an ASL/English Interpreter in the Durham, North Carolina area.

 

After earning a B.A. in Psychology and another in Spanish from the University of Kentucky in 2016,

she earned a B.A. in American Sign Language Interpreting at Western Oregon University in 2019.

She then completed the Master's of Arts in Interpreting Studies Program at Western Oregon University, along with an additional certificate in Educational Interpreting in December of 2020.

In 2021, she relocated to Durham, NC, where she currently interprets in postsecondary

and various community settings, after working five years full time in the public school system.

Why "Several Signs"? It's a play off of Rachel's "sign name" in ASL (given to her by a Deaf friend)

which is the sign for SEVERAL, due to her "several" degrees and varied hobbies, interests, and skills.
